Winjoy New Materials today officially released its 2025 Product Carbon Footprint Accounting and Report. This carbon footprint initiative is a core measure of the company's proactive green and low-carbon strategy, aimed at supporting its sustainable development goals with comprehensive scientific data.

The company took the lead in engaging an authoritative third-party organization to systematically complete this accounting work in accordance with the ISO 14067 international standard.

The report covers five major product series of the company's copper alloy strip, comprising more than 30 alloy grades. By systematically assessing the full lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions of these products from "cradle to gate" (i.e., from raw material extraction, transportation, and manufacturing to product departure from the factory), the company has established a complete and traceable carbon emission data system.

This marks Winjoy New Materials as one of the first companies in the domestic copper strip processing industry to complete systematic carbon footprint accounting, placing it at the forefront of the sector and providing a replicable practical model for promoting green and low-carbon transformation in China's copper processing industry.

Against the backdrop of global climate change and the accelerating formation of international trade "carbon barriers," carbon footprint management in the non-ferrous metals industry has become a key indicator of corporate competitiveness.

The company is confident that its 2026 carbon footprint data will show significant improvement. Multiple improvement measures are already underway, including: progressively increasing the proportion of recycled material in response to downstream industry demand; optimizing the energy mix by introducing green electricity; and advancing energy-saving and carbon-reduction processes such as waste heat recovery and short-process retrofitting.

Looking ahead, Winjoy New Materials will continue to uphold its development philosophy of "green, efficient, and sustainable," regularly carry out carbon footprint assessments, and work with industry peers to promote high-quality, low-carbon transformation of China's copper processing sector.
